Yeni and Ridwan Wedding Part 2

A quick outdoor photo session with Ridwan and Yeni at treasury garden. Enjoy =)

Yeni and Ridwan Wedding Part 1

Couple weeks ago, I did a legal wedding coverage for Ridwan and Yeni with a help from another professional photographer Wibowo Rusli. It was a pretty exciting day for me, because it's the first time RedFlutter did a wedding coverage!!

The Old Treasury Buildings were full of weddings event, there were about 3-4 weddings happened at the same time. When we first entered the building we were greeted by Ridwan who seemed pretty nervous about the event. He kindly introduced us to his friends and Yeni's mother. Then we moved to the waiting room and waited for Yeni to arrive. A couple of minutes later Yeni arrived. She looked stunning and glowing. I couldnt stop taking her pictures. Both Ridwan and Yeni looked quite nervous about the ceremony, but everything went smoothly! So.. Congratulations to both of you!!! We wish you all the best for your BALI wedding.

The Owl Utopia

I was asked by Elly (http://www.theowlutopia.com/) to take photographs for her portfolio. In fact she has begun crocheting flowers brooch to be sold in finder keepers markets (9th-10th october 2010, melbourne).

So we decided to go to emerald lake for the photo session. The day at the lake was so nice, it was sunny and bright…great for producing natural light for the photos =) Elly was pretty good in posing, i didnt have to guide her much with the poses..so it saved me lots of time for thinking what had to be done next.

I love most of her photos, but i can't upload all of them in here..it will clutter the page =) so enjoy some of the best shots

Zombie walk

Melbourne 2010 zombie walk shuffle

Zombie walk (also known as a zombie mob, zombie march, zombie horde, zombie lurch, zombie shamble, zombie shuffle or zombie crawl) is an organized public gathering of people who dress up in zombie costumes. Usually taking place in an urban centre, the participants make their way around the city streets and through shopping malls to a public space (or a series of taverns in the case of a zombie pub crawl) in a somewhat orderly fashion. -wikipedia-

Sorry for the small size images, hope you can still enjoy the bloody photos

David & Sisca's Pre wed part 2

Sisca decided to do another pre wed photos with her printed shirts written "bride" and David's shirts written"The bride is mine". We decided to go to docklands, because the area was not too crowded, and it has lots of restaurant and cafes along the pier.
We basically strolling down the pier, and took photos just anywhere. The background of the clear blue sky, the pier, and the modern architecture were just enough to make the photos look good.

The favourite moment of the day was when sisca and david stood in the middle of the walking path and had to repeat their kiss for several times until we got enough good photos. Never be shy to do a kiss in a photos, it a strong gesture to show the chemistry between two loving people. Agree?

SoccerKitCorner Project with OHW AFC

Redflutter was contracted to be part of soccerkitcorner's (www.soccerkitcorner.com) marketing project. The purpose of the project is to promote the soccer jersey that SoccerKitCorner has designed and produced for a soccer club in Victoria, Old Hill Wanderers AFC.

There were 6 players and 1 coach from OHW AFC attended the photo session. The atmosphere was truly fun and enjoyable, as the players themselves were pretty excited with their new jerseys as well as the fact it was a new experience for them to be in a professional photo shots.

Many thanks to SoccerKitCorner for providing this opportunity to us. We also thanked Edy Lianto (www.edylianto.com) to assist with both the lighting installation, and style directing.

LMFF Fashion Mob

L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival is happening now in Melbourne!! Almost every day there are fashion shows in the city area. Last week we were contacted by Dash PR who organized an event called 'fashion mob'. They welcomed us to join a photography opportunity of a fashion showcase by a Melbourne designer Leiela.

Basically there were 10+ models wearing the colourful evening gown designed by Leiela. All of them stopped and pose at one location for couple of minutes for the photo shots, then they moved on to the next location. We met them while they were posing at Federation Square. It was crowded with photographers, and there are quiet a lot of people who took out their mobile phone/digital camera to take some snaps of the models. We didnt get a lot of photos during the day, because we came too late..so here are our best shots of the day.

Saturday with Shikha

The weather on last weekend was just perfect for photoshot. We were lucky enough to have such a bright sunny day on the saturday! We were not sure how the weather would be after hail storm disaster happened in Melbourne last week.

So finally we met with this beautiful indian-indonesian, Shikha. She had such a fun personality, and she was so confidence so it's not that hard to ask her to pose. First we took the shot in brighton beach area, and then we moved to botannical garden, we thought we could take some photos with colourful flowers. Unfortunately we couldnt find any flowers, there were only trees, cactus and grass. But we managed to get a lot of beautiful photos =)

Redflutter met Boba Fett

Last monday melbourne photography club has been invaded by Star Wars characters! I was so excited when i saw unmasked darth vader stood in the room having conversation with one of the photographer. The other character, boba fett (i just googled his name, im not quite a fan of star wars) was quiet good posing with the gun, and the best thing was we didnt need to use trigger to take the shot. So it was a quick photo session with boba fett.

Unfortunately i had to go, so i didnt have the chance to take photos of the red painted face darth vader (correct me if im wrong), and this model in a full black darth vader suit with mask on. Maybe next time in halloween day =)

Yuanita and Kurtis Saturday morning at st kilda

On last saturday morning we went to st kilda for the couple photoshots, the weather wasnt that good, it's not as sunny as we expected and the wind was quite strong =p Our initial plan was to go to Luna Park, but the gate was closed as we arrived. So, the only things we could do was posing in front of the gate and walked further up to the beach area.

As soon as i turned on my camera, ms. yuanita already striked a pose with Mr. Kurtis who just stood still beside her smiling =) This couple was so cute, when i held my camera up, Yuanita and Kurtis quickly became a lovey dovey couple, but when i turned off the camera, we started to gossiping ha..ha. It was such a short photo session, because the weather made us felt a bit sick. But thanks to these lovely couple, another portfolio added to redflutter, yay!! Thx guys ^^

Take My Breath Away Prep

Take My Breath Away was the first dance showcase created by "Helena Tjhie", a ballroom dance teacher in Melbourne. The event was a big success, many people came to watch either their friends' performances or merely joined in the fun. The dance choreography were really good, a thumbs up for Helena. There's a touching love story which had made one of the guest shed a tear.

Before the show started, I was allowed to take quick shot of the female dancers in the preparation room. Some of the girls did their own makeup, and sometimes they helped the others too. Everyone was helping each other from hair-do, makeup to dressing. All of them were excited to perform, noone looked tense. And you could tell how much they enjoyed the dancing from their fabulous performances. Well done dancers =)

Joanna the little chinese girl

Last time when we saw Joanna, she's still a little cry baby, who's so attached to her mom. But when we saw her again on Chinese New Year's day she had become more active, she even interacted a lot with new people. This little girl was brave enough to wander off by herself. She went to explore the playground, and at the same time she happened to make some new friends by herself. She touches almost everything on the playground, she is such a little curious girl. We all love Joanna, she's such a sweetheart.

Melbourne Photography Club session: Calvin Klein?

Warning: This photo may contain drugs which can cause halucination for the viewer, especially girls!

Every monday night there's a photography session held in melbourne photography club. All you need to bring is your camera, you don't need to prepare the lighting, the club already set up a studio complete with lighting equipment and background wallpaper.
There are also volunteer models come to the club to pose for you.

Most of the people in the club were guys, there were only 2 female photographers including myself. When i asked the male model to take off his shirt (note: i kept imagining armani's ad poster) some guy in the room started to tease me, then everyone laughed and said stuff like "see..girl always ask him to take his shirt off. We know that his body is good, it's all buffed up, no wonder she asks him to take it off my face went all red instantly....

Bali Im in Love

In early January 2010 we spend 5 days to one of Indonesia's paradise island, Bali. We had a really enjoyable days in the "island of Gods". The hot humid weather in this tropical island didnt bother us at all, the people were friendly, the culture were rich and charming, the nature was beautiful, the foods were tasty, the accommodation were magnificent (it does spoil you and make you feel like living in paradise) and everything was cheap if you compare to Australia. That's why we loveee BALI!
No wonder many couples dream about having their wedding in Bali!
These photos will speak for itself..

On my way to Rancamaya

We had a day trip to a villa in Rancamya owned by our acquitance. It's only an hour drive from Jakarta, but if you go at the wrong time, the road usually jammed with traffic. Along the side road there are so many huts selling vegetables, fruits, meats or souvenirs. Many of the locals approach the passenger cars to sell stuff like snacks or toys, you can spot lots of singing beggars on the road as well. The area is still remote and the poverty level is quite high.

The air is cleaner than Jakarta, and because Rancamaya is located in highlands, the temperature in there is lower. And you can still enjoy a natural scenery in one of the outdoor restaurant called, Desa Bumbu.
